I hope your first week back to school was amazing! Whether you’re returning or brand new to our community, we’re so glad you’re here. I am Crystal Nguyen—your 2025-2026 WAIS PTA President—and I’m thrilled to kick off another exciting school year with all of you!

A little about me: I have a 10th grader and a 6th grader, and this is my fourth year as part of this wonderful community. I’m here to support you, so please don’t hesitate to reach out at president@waispta.org if you have any questions or if you're thinking about getting involved.

Our goal is within reach—we need just 87 more members to hit 75% of our last year's membership by August 31st. Every single membership strengthens our voice, fuels programs for our students, and builds the community our kids deserve.

This year, the WAIS PTA is focused on three key initiatives—and we need your support to make them happen:

• WAIS Wish List – Fulfilling classroom and campus needs to support students and teachers directly.

• Senior Scholarship Fund – Helping WAIS seniors take their next step through PTA-funded scholarships.

• Courtyard Upgrade – Investing in tables, umbrellas, and sunshades to create more usable outdoor space.

Every donation, volunteer hour, and show of support makes a difference. Let’s work together to create the best experience possible for our students and staff!

We always need extra hands—and there’s a role for everyone. Be sure to complete the annual volunteer application (English | Spanish), then sign up to help out as your schedule allows. Even small commitments go a long way.
